How do I begin to build or remodel?

Building a home or other structure or remodeling a home is a major undertaking.  We have put together some tips and steps that you should take to assure that your success with your dream.  Click on the "Steps for Success" link for some tips that may help you to begin.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, Desert Pinnacle Homes, Inc. is licensed with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.  Our license number is ROC 200790-B.  And, yes, we are insured and bonded.  We carry $2,000,000 liability insurance enforced by the The Central Insurance Company via the Mahoney Group in Phoenix, Arizona.

Can you describe your payment schedule?

With our contracts, we include predetermined progress payments at different milestones during the project.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we stand behind all workmanship as well as sub contractors.  We adhere to the Registrar of Contractors warranty requirements.  Should you encounter any problems we will quickly work to resolve the issue.  It is our desire that you are 100% satisfied.

How do you accommodate changes once a project starts?

We include in our contracts a full disclosure of how changes can be made.  No changes will be made without concurrence from both you and Desert Pinnacle Homes.

Will permits be required and who obtains them if they do?

Some minor projects do not require permits; however, most all municipalities require permits for building projects. Failure to obtain the necessary permits may cause financial hardship and loss of time.  In some cases, if a project violates zoning laws or other regulations, it may even have to be removed.  As a qualified licensed contractor, we are  knowledgeable of the permit process, and we will ensure that all permits have been obtained before initiating any work.  Desert Pinnacle Homes is familiar with city codes and adheres to the permitting process.

Does your company perform full service or specialty installations?

If you are planning a small project, say installing an upgraded electrical service, you would be better served by hiring a specialty electrical contractor. However, if your project involves changes such as moving walls, removing ceilings or changing cabinet locations, you should consult a full service company.  Desert Pinnacle Homes is a full service company qualified to do any type of remodeling, adding of rooms, work shops or a complete new custom residence.

How do you estimate how long it will take to complete my project?

We, at Desert Pinnacle Homes, want to ensure that we meet your expectations.  During the design phase of our projects, we will develop a full project plan and go over the details with you so you will know not only how long the project will take, but also what time of the day the work crew will begin work and what time you can expect them to quit for the day.  We will contact you immediately about any delays or scheduling changes.  We will always stay in touch with you.

What can I expect in the way on inconveniences while the work is being done?

We will try to keep the inconveniences to a minimum.  But, your normal lifestyle will likely be altered, and you may have to make some adjustments during remodeling:

How do you resolve problems when they occur?

We will not raise your expectations higher than they should be, as it is our intent to give a realistic view.  When problems do occur we handle them in a straightforward manner to resolve them with honesty and integrity.  Our goal is your satisfaction which will result in your referral.

Do you offer consulting services?

Yes.  Desert Pinnacle Homes has over 40 years of personal experience in home building, additions, remodels, site preparation, development of infrastructure and electrical contracting as well as design and coordination of various components and specialty contractors.  And it has all been right here in the Valley of the Sun.  We do not provide any lists of sub contractors but we will recommend resources for you to search out and steer you on the right path to success.  Our fee is $100 per hour with no minimums and the initial 1 hour meeting is free.
